This course will provide participants with an overview of the procedure and recommendations for reprocessing Olympus gastrointestinal endoscopes and bronchoscopes. It will also provide information on the proper handling of these endoscopes to minimise damage and reduce repairs. Participants will learn to recognise the important processes required for pre-cleaning, leak testing, manual cleaning, high level disinfection, sterilisation and storage. An overview of endoscope mechanics and nomenclature of endoscopes will also be discussed. Reprocessing demonstration will be provided for commonly used Olympus medical endoscopes and accessories.

Surgical Scopes Reprocessing and Handling Training Workshop is endorsed by ACN according to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Endorsed Course Standards.
